Red Band Brigade DKP Policy

Earning DKP:
  • 1. One DKP is assigned at the start of every raid and continues throughout the raid at the top of every hour.
  • 2. If a raid doesn't end at the top of an hour, a point may be assigned for the final stamp at the DKP Officer's discretion.
  • 3. DKP is assigned to any Main character that is attending an Red Band Brigade raid if they are wearing a Red Band Brigade tag.
  • 4. If a player is asked to play their Box/Alt character over their Main, they will earn the DKP on their Main.
  • 5. Bonus DKP may be assigned by DKP Officer, Raid Leader, or Guild Leader on any event with a cap of 5 DKP. This will not be often, but will be something to reward first time kills or pulling out a really ugly win. It could be 5 one night, and 2 another. It could also be zero, so please do not depend or ask for this bonus, it is just that...a bonus.
  • 6. Bonus DKP may be assigned by DKP Officer, Raid Leader, or Guild Leader for work outside of raiding that is required to progress in content. This bonus would be dependent on the difficulty involved in working on this outside of raid time and is not guaranteed for every bit of work that may be required for progression in the future. (Example: Solteris Group Missions for Solteris Flag)

Spending DKP:
  • 1. Any Main character who is showing at that moment to be higher then 25% raid attendance in the DKP standings for the past 60 days may bid when the DKP Officer begins the bidding on an item. There is no cap and a minimum bid of 1dkp. Please be courteous to all of the raid and bid like you want it, bids back and forth 1up'n each other is time consuming and frustrating.
  • 2. Any and all items looted during any round and after the FFA call have a minimum charge of 1dkp. This applies to mains, inactive mains, applicants, and boxes. This means that if you loot an item that is announced FFA, you will still be charged 1dkp. There may be items that are exempt from this charge such as spell runes, quest pieces, or class specific items. If you plan on looting something, please make it easier on the DKP Officer and just bid the 1dkp during your bidding round.
  • 3. Inactive Main Characters, Requested Boxes, or Applicants may bid on the item if there are no bids by Active mains when the DKP Officer calls for Second Round Bidding. Active Mains may not bid at this point, if they want it they need to bid during the First Round.
  • 4. Any Requested Box currently in attendance may bid during the second round using DKP from their Main character. The restrictions on this are as follows. The Main must be active(Over 25% for 60 day), the box must be requested on the current raid and on the approved box list, and they can only spend up to 20dkp.
  • 5. All DKP Values used for bidding are based upon the current values being reflected on the website at the time of the bidding. Negative spending is not aloud so do not do it.

Losing DKP:
  • 1. Mislooting - DKP penalties will be applied by the Officers or Guild Leader when this occurs. The penalties will vary depending on the situation in which the mislooting occured and if the item is returned to the correct person via GM intervention.
  • 2. Inactive Member - If an inactive member is removed from the guild for no activity for 6 months, their DKP will begin rotting until the balance hits zero.
  • 3. Discipline - This way of losing DKP will rarely ever be used due to if someone is really messing up to the extent we feel as Officers we need to punish them, they would have never made it through the app period or they will just be removed from the guild.
  • 4. Disbanded or Removed from Guild - If you leave Red Band Brigade, your DKP Balance is Zeroed Out. This applies to members who are removed.
  • 5. Applicants who do not succeed at becoming members of Red Band Brigade will not lose their DKP upon the denial of an application. They will however be subject to Inactive Member decay after 6 months. We at Red Band Brigade want to be able to give someone a second chance if we feel they deserve it and many people may only need a month or two of solid work on their part to succeed in an application to Red Band Brigade.

These policies are subject to change.
